Thoughts on Oil and Gas Exploration in the Tarim Basin

Abstract

Oil and gas exploration in the Tarim Basin has achieved remarkable results and promoted the development of theory. This paper reviews the exploration history of the Tarim Basin, analyzes the current status of oil and gas exploration, and points out that changing concepts, giving full play to human initiative, and multi-faceted scientific decision-making are the keys to achieving major breakthroughs.
