Discussion on the Exploration and Development Strategy of Coalbed Methane

Abstract

 The domestic coal-bed methane exploration and development boom has gradually formed, and there have been great progress in research and exploration practice, but no substantial breakthrough has been achieved so far. For the exploration and development of coal-bed methane, we must see the bright prospects and fully estimate its difficulty. There should be a set of exploration strategies suitable for China's specific geological and technical conditions, mainly: firm confidence and perseverance; breakthrough in selected areas and summarizing experience; pay attention to benefits and gradually expand; government preferential treatment and foreign cooperation.
