Abstract

After detailed investigation of the beach and sea area in the Bohai Bay Basin, 14,000 km2 of which are promising areas, are extensions of the four oil and gas depressions of Xia Liaohe, Huanghua, Jiyang and Bozhong, and have favorable petroleum geological conditions similar to those of onshore oil fields. The continuity of structural development determines that the main oil-generating strata in the beach and sea area are the third segment of the Shahe Formation and the lower segment of the Dongying Formation, and the Dongying Formation and the Minghuazhen-Guantao Formation are the main oil reservoirs. There are various types of oil and gas reservoirs in the beach and sea area, among which the draped anticline, reverse traction anticline and ancient buried hill oil and gas reservoirs account for a large proportion of the geological reserves of oil. At present, geophysical exploration has discovered more than 30 favorable structural zones, with a low overall exploration degree and great exploration potential.
