Comprehensive application of communication technology in the discovery of Yaha oil and gas field in Tarim Basin

Abstract

 This paper summarizes the successful experience of comprehensive application of new wellbore technologies such as geochemical logging, RPT logging, neutron lifetime logging and open hole mid-term testing in the discovery process of Yaha Oil and Gas Field in Tarim Basin, accurately judging oil, gas and water layers, determining oil, gas and water interfaces and oil and gas saturation. It is also pointed out that in the drilling process, the application of various new wellbore technologies is not single, and only through the combination of multiple technologies can good results be achieved.
